What is SEC Data Investor?

SEC Data Investor is a free financial research platform that provides derived analytics from publicly available government data sources. We process SEC EDGAR filings (10-K, 10-Q, N-PORT), Federal Reserve economic data (FRED), and IRS tax publications to generate educational scores, ratings, and insights for US stocks, ETFs, and tax forms.

Data Sources

  • SEC EDGAR — Company financial statements (XBRL), insider trades (Form 4), fund holdings (N-PORT), 13F filings
  • Federal Reserve (FRED) — Macroeconomic indicators: yield curves, fed funds rate, unemployment, CPI, VIX
  • IRS — Tax forms, publications, and schedules (1,800+ documents)

  • All outputs are derived scores, grades, and classifications — never raw financial advice
